Jan 25 2006 08:00
San Francisco FBI Field Office
FBI Debriefing Room

“Two days ago we received word that a couple of jets, owned by Air America out of Phoenix, were repossessed from a private hanger here in Oakland.” Agent Anderson stated as he stared into a room full of Agents. All were US Government Agents, all of varying acronyms from most segments of the Department of Defense.

“I mean no disrespect to you Sir, but you’ve called us all here for a meeting to tell us about some insignificant aircraft repo. I think it would behoove us to focus on the joint DEA task force in Marin County we’ve been been working so hard on.” Agent Sherwood said sarcastically.

Agent Anderson had been in the FBI for so long that he failed to recognize humor, indifference, as well as sarcastic overtone.

“The task force can wait. We’ve been assisting the DEA in destroying pot plans in that county for the last 25 years. They keep popping up and we keep shutting them down. If you haven’t noticed by now there are agents from different arms of the government represented here. Special Agent Talbert of the FAA is meeting with us today and is going to debrief everyone on the subject at hand. Agent Talbert.” Agent Anderson motioned to the Federal Aviation Administration Agent.

“At 0710 this morning one of fore mentioned jets that was repossessed went down in a trailer court in Bakersfield. The jet’s N-number was NXXXXX. There were 5 injuries on the ground were serious but not life threatening. Debris from the wreckage hit and destroyed a trailer in the park.” Agent Anderson paused to take his reading glasses off his face. “The pilot ejected from the craft, one parachute was deployed but unfortunately the main parachute did not open. When they found the seat of the jet, the pilot, Mark Somersby, was still strapped in. He was pronounced deceased on the scene.” Agent Anderson slowly placed his glasses back onto his face.

Most of the agents in the room knew the feeling of loosing a comrade and at least one of the Agents actually knew the pilot.

“We are all sympathetic here, but that still doesn’t answer the question of why the FBI is involved in an case that is clearly under the jurisdiction of the FAA.” Agent Sherwood stated.

“The reason the FBI is involved in an FAA matter are because of the the Jets that were repossessed. The Jets were one of the major keys in this whole situation. They were L-39′s. Can anyone tell me what an L-39 is?” Agent Anderson asked of the audience.

“Aero L-39 Albatros. A light attack aircraft or trainer jet, Czech built from 1971 to the late 90s, used by 39 different countries including the US.” Special Agent Strong of the CIA quickly rattled off .

“Does anyone know which company in the Bay Area operates the L-39 series of jet?” Agent Anderson question went unanswered. “Protection Aviation owns L-39′s or at least they are in possession of them. Air America claims Protection Aviation reneged on a 1.3 million dollar payment on 10 of these L-39′s. Seems the money is drying up over there like an Eskimo on vacation in Dubai. Special Agent Cook has been heading this portion of the investigation. I will now give the time over to Agent Cook.” Agent Anderson turned the time over to Agent Cook. Cook stood and addressed the audience.

“Located in the brief in front of you you’ll find a file on one Richard Knight. He goes by the name of Captain Knight even though he never served in that capacity. FBI Special Agent Goddard made contact with this gentleman recently. And notice I use Gentlemen for lack of a better word. Knight claims to be a former Navy Seal, Special Forces, FBI informant, etc. He has no military background and has not worked for this or any other US agency as an informant.”

The Immutable series will be offered as a free serialized audiobook at Podiobooks.com. The author will follow in the large footsteps of another great and wonderful author Kimberly Steele. Although Jody hopes the series is as dark, interesting, sexual, historical, and taboo as the author of Forever Fifteen he gave it his best effort.

Immutable follows Drake Livingston, a popular writer of immortal fiction. One day he was in a hospital bed suffering from amnesia and the next he was penning novels about night wondering bloodsuckers. All he could remember about his past life is that his name was Drake. And his passion in his present life is to author novels on the subject of The Kindred kind.

The adventure begins when someone who knew Drake from his past life, meets up with him at his office. With an exception of the reoccurrence of the “Brain Scramble” dream, his past life brain refused to allow him to remember who he was before the hospital. Duvall comes with camaraderie and with unspeakable knowledge. Knowledge that is so secret and unspeakable that Drake has to be shown and not told what it is. The secret is of what he was and who he can choose to become. Whether he chooses his fate and takes his newfound friend’s advice or chooses to keep on writing the novels that made him a Rock-Star author is entirely up to him. But with his actions or inactions lives could be retained or taken in a whisper. And a whole existence could cease to be with just one phrase out of the lips of a humble novelist.

Immutable: Memory is slated to be published in the first quarter of 2011. Check Immutable Novel for updates and publishing notes.
Chase, her live-in boyfriend, is a ghost writer for Ask Maggie, a local relationship advice column. They both consider themselves to be ‘GGG’, Good Giving and Game for whatever sexual whims that trips the other’s fancy. Tate, their lazy partial rent paying roommate, is just that: the typical slacker roommate. He jumps from odd job to odd job as well as from girlfriend to girlfriend, whether married, unmarried or otherwise attached. They all share a two bedroom flat with only one restroom on the East-Side of Metro City.

Tensions have been building for months as Melanie finds herself burdened with the task of picking up after Tate’s messes daily, let alone covering the rent he refuses to pay. She is angered at his lack of personal responsibility and his unpolished sexual tactics of bringing home young women for late night coitus without regard for the others inhabiting the apartment.

The dilemma of having only one toilet in the small two bedroom flat comes to the inevitable apex: Two people have to use the Loo at the same time. Unfortunately for Melanie, it is Tate who needed to use the facilities while she is already occupying the room.

Tate’s urgency prevails and Melanie allows him to relieve himself in a highly unconventional manner. Situations become increasingly troublesome when Chase comes home unannounced.

’1 Flat 2 Bedrooms and 1 Bathroom’ guides three unwitting roommates through a previously verboten barrier: The awkwardness that comes with the release of unrealized sexual tension.

I could under stand if it was 1966 or even if it was before June 13th 1967. But here in 2009 we shouldn’t have to go through this sort of thing. Here is the story via AP

A justice of the peace in northern Louisiana has refused to grant a marriage license to an interracial couple because he believes it would harm any children born of that relationship.

“I’m not a racist,” Keith Bardwell, justice of the peace in the state’s Tangihapoa Parish, told the Hammond, Louisiana, Daily Star. “I do ceremonies for black couples right here in my house. My main concern is for the children.”

The Louisiana chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union is calling the justice’s move “tragic and illegal.”

The Hammond Daily Star reports:

Beth Humphrey, 30, said she and her boyfriend, Terence McKay, 32, both of Hammond, intend to consult the US Justice Department about filing a discrimination complaint.
Story continues below…

Humphrey said she called Bardwell Oct. 6 to inquire about getting a marriage license signed. She said Bardwell’s wife told her that Bardwell will not sign marriage licenses for interracial couples.

The paper quotes the justice of the peace as saying that “99 percent of the time” an interracial couple will consist of a black man and white woman, and “I find that rather confusing.”

Evidently, Bardwell has long had a policy of not marrying interracial couples, and admitted that Louisiana’s attorney general had warned him years ago that he could “get into trouble” because of it.

“I told him if I do, I’ll resign,” Bardwell told the Daily Star. “I have rights too. I’m not obligated to do that just because I’m a justice of the peace.”

Bardwell said that neither black nor white society accepts the offspring of an interracial couple, and the children suffer as a result. He also stated that interracial families are unstable, and the children of these families often end up in the care of grandparents.

“In my heart, I feel the children will later suffer,” he said, adding that “if he does an interracial marriage for one couple, he must do the same for all,” the Daily Star writes.

“I try to treat everyone equally,” he said.

Humphrey and McKay are considering filing a discrimination complaint with the US Justice Department.

We have come so far yet we are still being treated as outcasts.

Statistics for the last 5 years show that interracial children are on the rise. If this Justice was so concerned about the welfare of the children he would start up a non-profit for mixed children and not refuse to marry someone on the color on their respective skins /end rant/

It had been weeks since I began my new-found appreciation for women, all women regardless of skin tone.

I held my coffee in one hand and my brief case in the other as I entered the building where I worked. I saw a woman standing in front of the elevators who was well-dressed and looking perplexed.

Her confused gaze focused on the building’s directory. She looked like the kind of girl who didn’t like to ask for help, the self-reliant type.

At first glance I found this woman attractive, she had shoulder length blonde hair, blue-eyed – a white girl white girl with long manicured fingernail. She wore high heel shoes that made her look short instead of looking unbelievably short without them.

I walked past the baffled beauty on my way to the elevators. I couldn’t help but notice the woman’s curves and looked down to admire more.

The contours of her figure were insatiable. She had the ass, hips and thighs of a thickly-built sista all packed into a five foot, four inch frame of a white girl. It’s like God crafted her body as a white girl in a Black girl’s body, with all the right proportions intact. I was intrigued, distracted yet intrigued.

I looked over in her direction and asked, “What floor are you going to?” I pressed the up button on the wall, calling the elevator to the lobby.

“I don’t know.” she said to me as she turned and walked my way. “I’m looking for Trans-Corp. Do you know what floor that company is on?” The woman smiled as she flipped the hair away from her of eyes.

“That’s the company I work for.” I paused to give this woman a wide smile, my eyes bright and welcoming. “Are you new to the company or are you just a vendor?” I asked looking away from her to see what floor the elevator was on. I found it was coming down slowly from the seventh floor.

“I’m not a vendor,” she shook her head, “it’s my first day of work here.” She said flashing me a sweet smile.

“Human Resources department, it’s on the third floor. I’ll help you get there.”

The elevator chimed, signaling its descent to the lobby, and the doors opened.

I walked onto the elevator, waived the woman on and just before the doors closed I confidently pressed the button for the third and fifth floor.

“When we get to the third floor, you’ll just turn left and your right there. There’s a sign on the door that reads ‘HR Department’, you can’t miss it.” I stated looking forward, not making eye contact.

She looked up at me, and I turned to look at her. Amanda brushed her dishwater blond hair out of her deep, bright blue eyes and said: “Thanks. You know, I think you just saved me my job.” She paused and held my gaze for a moment, “And I haven’t ever started working yet.”

I opened my mouth a moment then spoke, “No problem what so ever” I extended my hand to shake hers, “Jamie.” She looked down at my out stretched fingers with an expression I could not decipher.

“No, my name is Amanda.”She said.

“No, I meant my name is Jamie.”

That brought a smile to her lips, “Sorry, I just had to do that to you. I know what you meant.” She paused and the air in the elevator fell silent. “Amanda Winslow, nice to meet you.” She put her hand in mine.

I shook it lightly, taking advice from my mother – always be gentle with a lady. I couldn’t help noticed how soft and delicate her skin felt under my touch. I was shocked at how small her hand was in my own. I couldn’t help bet appreciate the contrast of her Caucasian skin to mine so deep bronze in color.

The door to the elevator opened and a woman’s voice exclaimed. ‘Third Floor.’ I eased my grip from hers and let my fingertips glide over her palm. As I reached her fingertips, they curled up, not wanting to let go, but this was her floor and I was already late as it was.

“This is my stop.” She said as she turned to leave “Wish me luck.”

“Maybe I’ll see you on break. I usually see everyone in the lunch room from time to time.”
